Dearest Camp B’nai Brith Community,

Welcome to CBB, into the family,
No other place in the world,
Welcome to CBB, far from the city,
Now we can call it our home.

For nearly a century, Camp B’nai Brith of Montreal has been synonymous with summer. We ran camp through the Great Depression, World War II, and more. The last few months have been spent understanding how we could safely and responsibly operate camp this summer. Today the government made the heart-breaking decision to cancel overnight camp for this summer.

Flagpole, the lake, sunshine on our face,
Nowhere We’d rather be, then right here in this place
We can’t believe all the memories
Becoming much more real everyday.

It’s a painful reality that for the first time since 1921, that the busses will not roll in, campers’ voices will not fill the dining hall, and the bleachers that welcome Shabbat will be empty and silent.

We are devastated. More than that, we are truly and deeply sorry that we couldn’t make it work for you. This is a loss felt deeply by our entire community – campers, staff, alumni, parents, and friends.

It’s so surreal, the comfort that we feel
Returning back to camp every year.

This is not forever. This is a temporary delay in our ability to return home and be back together. We WILL be together again.

Welcome to CBB, into the family,
No other place in the world,
Welcome to CBB, far from the city,
Now we can call it our home.

Shabbat we rest,
the values we invest,
In wearing white for candles,
challah and wine we bless.

With deep sorrow and immense love,
Josh, Dayna, Jarred and the rest of your CBB Family

Welcome to Camp B'nai Brith

Since 1921 we have built Jewish identity, given independence, fostered friendship, and created lifetimes worth of memories.

We encourage campers to try new things physically, socially, and emotionally. We create a family environment where we nurture our campers. This is a place to grow, be independent, and build confidence.

We are a summer camp in Canada that offers programs that will encourage team building, skill development, respect of self and others.
