First Day of Session 2 at #CBBMTL

Hello Parents!

So begins the second session of 2014! It’s hard to believe that we’re already here, it seems like just yesterday that the first month of camp began and I was sitting in my office writing a very similar blog. However, this is not the same month it is a different one and with it comes a different set of campers and completely different moments and events for them to experience together. Already this morning I knew how great this session was going to be, even at the buses in the pouring rain, almost every camper had a smile on their face and was ready to see what awaited them up at camp.

When they arrived, our campers were greeted by our enthusiastic staff yelling and cheering waiting for their new friends to walk off the bus. We then proceeded into our beautiful brand new gym for a few icebreakers and games of basketball while we waited for everyone to arrive. The campers and staff then got lice checks and had an hour to hang out and get to know each other before lunch. This is actually a very big deal, the return of Mac & Cheese! One of my personal favorite meals that was met with extremely positive reviews and I hope will be welcome here for a while.

Lunch was followed by the respective units either; unpacking with their staff or taking their swim test. Both went by…swimmingly. Seriously though, all of the campers are unpacked and comfortable and most have passed the swim test. No matter what, everyone is ready to just kick start their summer tomorrow when the activity cycles start. Speaking of ‘cycles’, we have a brand new program starting tomorrow that I’ve been very excited about doing since I started here four years ago. Our mountain biking program is officially starting tomorrow!

All in all, I just can’t wait to see how this month plays out because I know it will be one of our best ever!

Until tomorrow everyone, feel free to “Like” us on Facebook to get constant updates on what’s happening in camp.

Yours truly,
Josh @ the camp that keeps on getting better.
