Tonight was the night that I know you’ve all been waiting for, the camp play. “Frozen”! It was maybe one of the best plays that our camp has produced in years, thanks in part to the Drama team, the team down in Fine Arts, and of course all the campers who starred in and watched the play. This year we really made it our duty to get everyone involved in the play, even if they weren’t going to be in it. While at Fine Arts, campers helped make the set pieces and backgrounds for the production, at singing they learnt the songs, and so on and so forth. We built it up so much that by the time tonight rolled by, the gym was almost exploding with cheers of excitement!
Speaking of decorations and the gym, our brand new, state of the art facility was almost unrecognizable. There were paper icicles hanging down, the big stage was put up with a huge surround sound system and all of the campers made it a truly immersive and incredible experience.
Along with the camp play this today was the first day the sun has been out all day since saturday. Seeing everyone outside doing their activities, instead of trapped inside, during one of my daily walks truly put a smile on my face. And let me tell you there were smiles on their faces too.
Until tomorrow everyone. Please don’t forget to “LIKE” us on Facebook for more updates
