Well, it has now officially been one week since the campers arrived at camp, and what a week it has been! Beyond the innumerable number of smiles, laughs, and memories that were created, we also had our first Shabbat together, our first dance, first intercamps, and had our first cycle of activities of the summer. Wow, that was a bit of a mouth full, but let’s just talk about today.
Even though the weather wasn’t great today, it was actually sort of refreshing and a nice change from the heat that we’ve been getting. The skies even cleared up just in time for us to have a great GS on the beach. Also, be sure to catch the Junior Girls at the tail end of todays daily video to see the awesome dance that they performed for everyone at flagpole.
I was even lucky enough today to put aside a few hours right after GS to walk around different units and see what the campers thought about their first week of camp. Besides a few questions on whether or not a bunk could get a fan, the answers were all the same: everyone is loving summer 2014 at CBB! It is very evident that not only are our campers some of the most energetic and enthusiastic that we’ve ever seen, but so are our staff. Whether it be something as simple as helping the kids clean up the bunk or something as serious as dealing with a homesick camper or an argument in the bunk, the counselors are there in a heartbeat. It is clear that there is, above all else, one thing they are here for, and that is your children.
In short, I can’t wait to see where the rest of this summer takes us.
Until tomorrow everyone. Please don’t forget to “LIKE” us on Facebook for more updates
