Shabbat Shalom | #CBBMTL Day 2

Shabbat Shalom | #CBBMTL Day 2
Hello Parents!

Day two has come and gone. Now that all the unpacking is done and all the campers have settled in, camp has truly begun! Specialties have started their four day cycles with the campers and I have heard nothing but very positive reviews. The option to choose your own periods each four day cycle is one of the many things that makes CBB so special and I’m proud to say that the campers agree.

Walking from activity to activity today in camp allowed me the opportunity to see some more smiling faces doing what they love. I saw junior boys photo bombing unsuspecting staff in Media and I am very proud to say that all the Intermediate Boys who went wake boarding today, even for the first time, got up! The smiles on their faces were electric! I also got to see Chalutzim in arts and playing some basketball as well as stopping shortly by the beach to see some senior girls having fun at boating.

At General Swim today, the campers were treated to a real surprise when their staff all got up out of nowhere and started a flash mob for them! Keep your eyes open in the coming days for a video of them practicing and the actual flash mob itself. Seeing the campers getting in to the dance half-way through while smiling and laughing hysterically made all of the counsellors feel like the hard work they put into the dance in the days before camp felt worth it.

How could I forget to wish you all Shabbat Shalom! The sea of white shirts at flagpole before dinner was very nice to see. I feel that even if you are not a Jewish family or don’t observe the religion, friday nights are a time when we could all come together as a family here at CBB and really bond with each other.

Until tomorrow everyone. Please don’t forget to “LIKE” us on Facebook for more updates!

Yours truly,
Josh @ the camp that keeps getting better!
