July 28 @ CBB

Hello Parents,

Today was a great start to our second cycle of options. Even though the weather wasn’t at its best our campers still got to have a ball during their options.

SONY DSCToday, we had two amazing new specialties introduced to camp. This cycle our campers got to go to our first LEGO option, and the Harry Potter inspired game of Quidditch! Both these specialties filled up quickly and has definitely already become a staple of camp for years to come.

970167_10151598552647523_1561901300_nTonight, we treated our campers to a movie in the gym. Our campers got the enjoy Monsters Inc. with some treats that included cotton candy, snow cones, and popcorn. Little did our campers know what was coming next. Ten minutes before the movie was to be finished, Jarred and I came out to reveal that it was THEME DAY! The camp has be divided into two teams and will compete tomorrow to see who can come up with the best ending to the movie. Team red will produce an action ending, while the blue team will produce a comedic ending. Who will come out on top??

Unfortunately, due to the weather we were not able to produce a daily video for you today. Tomorrow you will get a double dose of video because we will be posting both team’s movie endings.

Yours truly,

Josh @ the camp that keeps on growing
Hello parents!

IMG_9868The Pioneers have returned from Chicago and are ready for second month. While in Chicago the Pioneers had the opportunity to visit Millennium Park, Navy Pier, and watch a Brewers game in Milwaukee, seeing them beat the Miami Marlins. Some highlights of the trip included a comedy show at the famous Second City and a visit to Camp Beber, where the Pioneers had a great time creating everlasting memories with the campers from Beber.

After a short rest at home the Pioneer campers are now in the full swing of things camp. With a full kitchen in the unit, the Pioneers have cooked chicken fingers, barbeque hamburgers, macaroni pie, and other scrumptious meals. Since being back we had a Swedish auction and played broken shofar for evening programs. The Pios are also having a great time waterskiing and playing Quidditch.
